Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. She spent most of her childhood listening to music from the past, boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic tunes and old classical pieces. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any dramatic performance. At the age 16, she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. Her early professional career saw her perform with many opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. In addition to being a local performer and instructor the passion for music and art keeps her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing traditional Latin American songs and hopes to inspire others to do the same.
