Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. At the age of five years old when she left for Oxfordshire and enrolled in an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. When she was six years old, Emma was aware she would like to be an actress and for many years she studied at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school where she studied the art of acting and dancing. In a school play and a Stagecoach Production, Emma took as the lead role at age 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the film adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the first time at the beginning of 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford Theatre teacher. After eight auditions consistently, the producer David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been selected as the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first film on the screen took place in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone which was released in 2001. It was the highest-grossing film of 2001 it set new records in its first day sales as well as its opening weekend earnings. Film critics praised the film as well as the performance of three leading actors of the young generation. The Daily Telegraph, an important British newspaper, called Emma's performance "amazing". Emma was awarded five nominations for her outstanding performance. Then, she was awarded the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actress in an Film.
